Wedding Toast - Best
Man/Woman/Friend
My best friend in the
world just married my newest best friend and I'm here to tell you a bit about our friendship.
First, my best friend and I have known each other
for twenty years. Some of them were good
years, some of them were questionable and all of them memorable. From grade school to high school, we proved
that friendships could change lives. Pranks
were the icing on the cake and boys/girls were the main staple of a life well lived.
Side by side, we've been through tragedy, supported
each other through successes and failure,
practiced laughter and joy. With your help, I've become a better person. Learned how to tip a stripper, paint a
room, change the oil in a car and beat a
restaurant bill.
From you I've learned that loving a person is the
greatest gift one can give That forgiveness
is a virtue and revenge is best left behind. I've learned
that through life one can choose to close windows,
walk through open doors and build bridges to
a future with good choices and few regrets with support
and encouragement from you.
Now that you've chosen a partner, I now have two
best friends. A warm place to fall with two
hearts to comfort and I am twice blessed with smiles and
camaraderie. Now that you've chosen a partner, I
have to keep my pants on when we watch
football (I have to put on makeup to watch a video).

BirthdayFolks, this is a day
we all have to face eventually.
On the one hand, it's a moment to look back, take
stock, and maybe feel good about what you've
accomplished.
On the other hand, though, you also have to deal
with the little voice that keeps saying: 60?
How can that be? The last time I checked I was 20!
Of course, it helps if you take stock and find that
it all adds up to
something worthwhile, and in your case Wanda, I
think it amounts to a substantial 60 years of
living.
Moreover, just in case you have any doubts about
that, we're headed take a good look at Wanda.
At sixty, she not only goes to the gym every single day,
but she also eats about six pounds of chocolate a
week! Never say she doesn't know what she's
doing.
As a friend, she's there for you whether it's four
o'clock in the afternoon or morning. She has
never let me down in my times of need and there have
been plenty! I've known her for many years and I
can attest that she's one of the few
compassionate people on the planet.
When we hit the markers in our lives, we take
stock. Look around the room, Wanda.
Here is your inventory; A husband of thirty years whose eyes
still
sparkle when he looks at you. Four successful
children who still speak to you! Three
beautiful grandchildren you may spoil at every turn and a
room full of people that gathered here for
one reason.
We love you, are ecstatic that you are alive and
realize that our lives would be poorer if not
for your presence in them.
