“Perfect Coffee Moment”
Mine was in Jamaica in 1996. I was on my honeymoon at an all
inclusive resort. I sat at sunset on the veranda of our room. I had
a pot of Jamaica Blue Mountain on one side and a Cuban Cohiba in my
hand. Feet up, gentle breeze and waves crashing. My new bride let
me have some ‘alone time’ because she doesn’t care for cigars. I
ordered room service and got a nice filet mignon. The smoothness of
the coffee complemented everything. It made the cigar less biting.
Its nutty notes highlighted the light marinade on the steak. Its
mild acidity went well with the fruit plate. And its lingering
flavor lasted until the sun went down. Recreating the coffee portion of this experience is easy. I just
brew up some Jamaica Blue Mountain and enjoy. Finding more ‘alone
time’ with a Cohiba is tougher since the kids came along! What’s your “Perfect Coffee Moment”? I would love to hear YOUR STORY. I consider it a challenge to
