A well composed rictameter poem, presented with apt artwork to enhance the theme. The imagery is excellent, and the tone and tenor of the work suit the unusual subject choice for this style of poetry. I am impressed with how you made it flow well, using enjambment.
I like the sea's bosom image, but it can be slightly misleading as the within the sea's bosom can also imply UNDER THE WATER!
I have two spag suggestions--
Sinking into its black void(,) we
cried,(no , maybe?) riding the icy
This poem is like a poetic snapshot of an intense scene. I think this subject/theme could be explored more in depth (pun not intended!), and might be a fine subject to suit a sonnet or free verse. The rictameter is too short to give the full flavor and impact of the scene. But in spite of that, you've done a great job with the stallion simile.
