Haiku

Haiku...  is a popular form of unrhymed Japanese poetry. It is generally written in a single vertical line, and contains three sections. This Japanese verse is  written in 17 syllables and is structured in a 5-7-5 pattern. Traditionally, haiku contain (1) a kireji, or cutting word, usually placed at the end of one of the poem's three sections; and (2) a kigo, or season-word.
